MugShot_Sakelaris, Yiannis GA man from Portage is in the Marshall County Jail for Auto Theft.

According the Detective Leo Mangus with the Plymouth Police Department, during the night on August 11th the PD received a report of a stolen vehicle in the 1200 block of Lake Avenue.  24 year old Yiannis Sakelaris, a suspect in the theft had been at the home the day the car was taken.

On August 15th the stolen vehicle was recovered in the Chicago area and Sakelaris was with the vehicle.  He was hospitalized at that time due to a drug overdose.

An arrest warrant was issued by Plymouth Police on August 24th and on August 31st Detective Leo Mangus received information that Sakelaris was at a location in Portage.  Working with Portage Police, Sakelaris was taken into custody and lodge in the Marshall County Jail at 10:45 Thursday night.  Due to the fact that Sakelaris has a previous conviction of Auto Theft, his current charge was enhanced to a level 5 felony.  His cash bond was set at $50,000.
