Pride_of_Plymouth_BandsThe Pride of Plymouth marching band advanced to the ISSMA Semi-State performance this Saturday afternoon in Indianapolis.

Tonight is the band’s final evening rehearsal of the season unless they advance to state finals.  Band director, Bryan Ames said, “On this evening we always have a community performance.    The band will end the rehearsal tonight in our new stadium with a performance at 7:45 p.m. We hope everyone can join us and share the word with anyone who might be a fan or former member of the band program.”

This evening’s performance traditionally ends with the annual FLASHLIGHT PARADE!   Ames said, “This is my favorite night of our season as we normally have several hundred fans that make a tunnel all the way from the stadium across the parking lot to the band room.  The fans wave anything that lights up from flashlights to light-sabers to neon signs made by the parents.   It is a very cool experience for the kids.”

Please, come out and support the band tonight and cheer them on to semi-state on Saturday!  And don’t forget your flashlight!
