The Red Storm team faced a tough, scrappy Edgewood team and lost a key conference matchup on a last second buzzer beater by Audrey Grimm, 24-23. Makenzie Dejarnatt paced the scoring with 8 points, Tallulah Gault added 6 points while Lindsay Janus and Emma Cook chipped in with 3 points each. Mia Wojcik had 2 points and Madison Stiles added 1 point to round out the Red Storm scoring. Cook also added 3 assists and 2 steals, while Miranda German grabbed 3 rebounds and dished out 2 assists. Wojcik grabbed 3 rebounds and Gault hauled in 2 boards and handed out 2 assists. The Red Storm 8th grade girls basketball team is now 12-2. The girls return to action Thursday (2/23) against Lakeview at home. Game should start about 6:00pm.
The 7th grade girls fought hard but fell short against the Lady Tigers from Edgewood Tuesday night 37-10. Sydney Rice was top scorer with 4 points and Kami Burkett had a big three to start a small push in the third quarter. Leah Tanner and Clare Sheedy also got on the board for the Lady Storm. The girls take on Lakeview on Thursday night at home.
