On Tuesday evening at The Rockpile the 8th grade Lincoln Red Storm team hosted the Bremen Lions. Bremen’s offense put Lincoln behind early with three touchdowns in the first half. The defense held Bremen scoreless in the third but the Red Storm’s offense could not get going. Bremen would score one more time in the 4th quarter bringing the score to 32 to 0. The Red Storm was determined and fought hard the rest of the quarter and were able to squeeze in a touchdown on a pass from Zach Masterson to Lennon Creighbaum with 21 seconds left. The Lions roared past the Red Storm 32 – 6. The 8th grade play again next week at home versus Laporte Boston on Wednesday.
Lincoln hosted Bremen yesterday at The Rockpile. Lincoln’s strong defense held the Lions scoreless to halftime, while the Lincoln offense struggled with consistency. The 2nd half started with Bremen pounding in a touchdown putting the Red Storm down 0-6. However, the Lincoln offense ignited after that with Brock Jensen scoring long rushing TD’s on 3 consecutive drives. taking the lead 20-6. Lincoln’s defense held onto that lead, getting multiple sacks and turnovers. The game was sealed by a late interception by Isaiah Navejar that was returned to the 1 yard line!
