Last night (1/23) the 8th grade basketball “A” team came out focused against New Prairie and earned a solid 37-11 victory in a non-conference matchup.  Fast paced action and ball movement contributed to their performance.  Leading the way tonight, top scorers were Tallulah Gault with 11 points, Lindsay Janus with 9 and Olivia Horvath added 6 for the Red Storm team.  Kaleigh Kephart, Ella Hissong, Madison Stiles, Mackenzie Dejarnatt and Miranda German also hit to the scoring column.   Top rebounders were Dejarnatt and Janus with three boards each.  Janus and Emma Cook managed the floor with a pair of assists each.  Excelling on the defensive end were Janus with 4 steals while Gault added three and German had 2 steals.   The win brings their record to 2-0.  The girls will be back in action and ready to play, Wednesday 1/25 on the road against Argos at 5:30

 

The 7th grade Red Storm brought home a victory Monday night, defeating New Prairie 23-16. Lexi Rose was high scorer with 6 points, followed closely by Sydney Rice with 5 and Summer South with 4. Lauren Rumpler, Leah Tanner, Clare Sheedy and Hannah Friberg all added a bucket to the win. The girls are back on the road Wednesday with a game at Argos.
