Senders joins Ancilla softball

Ancilla Senders signingDONALDSON, – LaVille’s Taesha Senders has signed on to play softball for the Chargers.
Senders, a catcher, comes to Ancilla with some impressive achievements. Coached by Scott Shearer, Dave Herbster, and Sky Medors, she was named Rookie of the Year and MVP both her junior and senior years. Senders was also named All-Conference her junior year. This season, she led the Lancers in batting average at .441, on base percentage at .535, slugging percentage at .694 and fielding at .930. Senders played volleyball as well, earning a total of 9 Varsity Letters between softball and volleyball.
“I am really excited to have Taesha join our softball family,” says Ancilla Head Coach Jane Zimmerman. “Being a catcher, I see her leading our team not only on the field, but in the community and classroom,” she adds.
Coach Herbster commented, “Taesha has been a pleasure to work with. She is a great example of what hard work can do.”
“I can’t wait to start class and be a part of another softball family,” comments Senders. “Not only was my hard work in the class noticed here, but also my hard work on the field. Ancilla pushes my academic side, while making me a better athlete,”
Senders plans on studying Sports Management this fall. She is the daughter of Nancy Lilves, Kyle Lilves, and Jeremiah Senders.
