Miller's_4-HFair 2017Mother Nature likes to tease us during fair time.  However, even with a torrential downpour, limited lightening and thunder, and increased humidity; Senior Day at the Marshall County 4-H Fair was well attended and lots of fun.

Hosted by Miller’s Merry Manors of Plymouth and Culver, Miller’s Assisted Living of Plymouth and St. Joseph Medical Center Senior Day began with BINGO.   Anna Corbett and Gwen Calvert both of Miller’s Plymouth Campus called out BINGO numbers during the downpour of rain.  The storm did not dampen the BINGO player’s spirits but it did make them call out “BINGO” just a little bit louder.  Many prizes were given out during the 1 ½ hour of play.

The rain turned in to a drizzle as Miller’s staff and volunteers served lunch which included:  hot dogs on a bun, potato chips, a cookie and beverage.

The last of the lunches were being passed out when the sun slowly peaked out from behind the clouds. A gentle breeze blew through the tent as entertainer Quentin Flagg took to the stage.

Flagg performed his usual high energy, rock – n – roll music from the 50’s – the 90’s.  The audience sang and danced along to iconic favorites such as:  “Rock A Hula”, “Wake Up Little Susie”, “Henry the Eighth”, “Suspicious Minds” and many more.

Plymouth Miller’s and the Plymouth Parks Department will host a Senior Ice Cream Social at River Park Square on Friday, August 12th at 2:00 p.m.  If you would like to know more about this event call Anna Corbett or Cindy Flagg at 936-9801.
