Tobacco-CessationSaint Joseph Health System (SJHS) Outreach Services is hosting a free, seven-week tobacco cessation class, Freedom From Smoking, at the Community Resource Center of Marshall County beginning Thursday, March 2. Participants should register by Wednesday, March 1.

Freedom from Smoking is designed to serve as a resource for community members to eliminate their use of tobacco products. This class is recommended for individuals who are trying to quit and need a little help along the way.

Led by Tobacco Education Coordinator Latorya Greene, course topics include: understanding addiction to nicotine, learning the importance of behavior change, mastering the first few days of quitting, mastering obstacles, staying quit and enjoying a smoke-free life.

Classes will be held on Thursdays from 6 – 7:30 pm including: March 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30, and April 6 and 13. The Community Resource Center of Marshall County is located at 510 W. Adams St., Plymouth, Indiana.  Contact (574) 335-3896 for information or to register.
