MYRTLE BEACH, SC – Pitching was the problem for both teams but Rochester College was able to get a little more from their staff as they clubbed Ancilla’s Chargers 19-7 in a five inning contest.
Neither starting pitcher lasted through the first inning as Rochester plated 11 and Ancilla 6 first inning runs. Rochester ended the day with 16 hits as well as Connor Adams took the loss for the Chargers. Blane Bender came on in relief for a second day and gave up eight hits. Bryce Bustamante pitched a scoreless, hitless fifth inning.
Caleb Mikesell paced the Charger offense with a pair of RBI’s.
Ancilla is now 0-4.
