SteveWeinert_autumn photoSteve Weinert is grateful for this opportunity to share some of his historical, rural and spiritual reflections of the past and present at the Heartland Artists Gallery in Plymouth, Indiana. Steve Weinert will be displaying his work for the first time at the Gallery as the featured artist in April. He currently resides in rural Fulton County, Indiana.

Inspired by the “character” of objects both in nature and man-made, Steve enjoys the time he spends observing the details of the subject he is working on. Also enjoys how it makes him feel and its relationship with the space around it. These observations led to years of study capturing texture, form, light and shadow by varying line, color and utilizing different types of pens on a variety of surfaces. Watercolor and ink remain Steve’s choice of media because of their fluid nature allowing him to be both spontaneous and detailed in his art.

Steve shares, “I create as a way to relax, reflect and focus. My work records the emotion and memory at the time I was creating it. I feel I am fulfilling a gift and sharing what I see and experiences through visual art. The renderings of barns, farm implements and man-made items are reflections of the past, connecting me with family and memories. The rendering of trees are spiritual meditations in the present; an exploration of creation and conversation with the Creator”.

The Gallery is thrilled to have Steve’s ‘Past and Present’ display from March 28 – April 28th. There will be an Open House for the community to view Steve’s art works on Sunday, April 2 from 1:00-4:00. This is a great time to meet Steve Weinert and the other Heartland Artists and share art conversation and refreshments.
