UW_Taste of Marshall CountyOn your marks, get ready, it’s time for family fun at Centennial Park in Plymouth, on Saturday, August 12! The second annual Taste of Marshall County takes place at Young Amphitheatre. New this year is a 5k/1 mile run/walk sponsored by the Marshall County Running Club. Grab your running shoes and your family and friends to join the fun at 4 pm. The walk/race will finish just in time for the opening of the food court and beer/wine garden and sounds of live entertainment that takes place from 5-10 pm.

“We really enjoyed seeing a great cross section of our community last year with people of all ages coming for all or part of the evening,” said 2017 United Way Campaign Chair, Rodney Jacobs. Entertainment starts at 5 pm with Shots Fired Reloaded followed by Southern Straightaway from 7-10 pm.

The event serves as the official launch of the 2017 United Way Campaign. Proceeds help United Way in the fight for the health, education, and financial stability of every person in every community.

VIP packages are available for $30 and can bepurchased in advance online at marshallcountyuw.org or in person at the UWMC office, located at 2701 N. Michigan St, Plymouth (in KeyBank building).  VIP package includes $20 in taste tickets, a Taste of Marshall County t-shirt, a beer/wine garden and entertainment pass and VIP parking. Taste tickets ($1 ea)may also be purchased at the event. Access to the food court is free. Five tickets are required for access to the beer/wine garden and entertainment area.
