The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) is alerting drivers of periodic ramp closures on the U.S. 20/31 Bypass in South Bend, Monday, March 20 through Wednesday, March 29. INDOT maintenance crews will be clipping shoulders between Mayflower Road and U.S. 20. During the closures, crews will remove excess sod and dirt that accumulates along the shoulders of the roadway to allow water to drain properly into roadside drainage.
Closures to occur at approximate times below, weather permitting:
3/20/17 U.S. 20/31 SB Ramp to Mayflower R 7 a.m. to 10 a.m.
3/20/17 Mayflower Road Ramp to U.S. 20/31 S 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.
3/21/17 Mayflower Road Ramp to U.S. 20/31 NB 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
3/23/17 U.S. 20/31 NB Ramp to State Road 2 EB 7 a.m. to 10 a.m.
3/23/17 State Road 2 WB Ramp to U.S. 20/31 WB 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.
3/24/17 U.S. 20/31 SB Ramp to State Road 2 WB 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
3/27/17 State Road 2 Westbound Ramp to U.S. 20/31 SB 7 am to 10
3/27/17 U.S. 20/31 SB Ramp to State Road 2 EB 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
3/28/17 State Road 2 EB Ramp to U.S. 20/31 NB 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
3/29/17 U.S. 20/31 NB Ramp to State Road 2 WB 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Crews will also be working on the Mayflower ramps to northbound U.S. 20/31 on 3/22/17. The work on these ramps will not require them to be closed.
