Indiana Conservation Officers were dispatched Sunday at approximately 2:30 p.m. to the area of 20th Road and Gumwood Road southeast of Argos to a possible drowning of a juvenile male in the Redinger Ditch.
Arriving on the scene officers learned that two juvenile males, Mahlon Z. Martin (13) and Kenneth Z. Martin (12) were deceased.
Several juveniles were playing in the ditch when the accidental drowning occurred.
Agencies assisting at the scene were the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department, Argos Police Department, Argos Fire and EMS and Lutheran EMS from Rochester.
