Hockey teams playing for state titles
Two CMA hockey teams will be playing for state titles in South Bend on Saturday. Varsity B will be playing Bishop Noll in the Class A championship at 11 a.m. and Varsity A will face Fort Wayne Carroll in the 4A title game at 6:30 p.m. All the games will be played at the Ice Box, 1421 S. Walnut St., South Bend, Ind.
Varsity B advanced through pool play with wins over Lake Central (5-0), Summit City (2-1), and Brebreuf (3-0). Varsity A advanced through pool play with wins over Zionsville (4-3), Penn (6-0), Bloomington (6-5 in an 8-man shootout).
Culver hosting wrestling tournament
The CMA wrestling team will be hosting the Indiana vs. Illinois All Star Classic Duals at 1 p.m., Sunday, March 12, in Fleet Gym. The all-star match will feature the top two senior wrestlers from Indiana facing off against the top two seniors from Illinois. Many of these wrestlers will be wrestling for major collegiate programs next season. The event is open to the public with introduction of the wrestlers and the National Anthem starting at 12:45 p.m.
