As one of the first orders of business, on Tuesday the Marshall County Commissioners approved the 2018 contractual agreement with Jim Clevenger as the County Attorney and with Sheriff Matt Hassel.
The sheriff’s agreement is exactly the same as 2017 with the exception of a pay increase. His salary for this year will be $88,071.00.
The county attorney’s agreement is exactly the same as last year. The county will pay Jim Clevenger $1,500 monthly as a retainer and his hourly rate will be billed as $140 per hour.
The county commissioners had to select officers for 2018. The motion was made to retain the same officers; Kevin Overmyer as President, Kurt Garner as Vice President and Mike Delp as member. The motion was unanimously approved.
