2 Arrested on Sunday Traffic Stop for Meth

Meth_ArrestOn Sunday June 24, at approximately 8:00pm Officer Beatty with the Plymouth Police Department conducted a traffic stop on US 30 and Oak Road.

Officer John Weir arrived on scene and deployed his K-9 partner Jax and he indicated the presence of narcotics.

The driver, 23 year old Alec Ashby of Portage was taken into custody for Driving While Suspended with a prior, Possession of Methamphetamine, Unlawful Possession of Syringe, Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Paraphernalia.

The Passenger, 27 year old Pedro Jimenez Jr of Hammond was taken into custody for Possession of Methamphetamine, Unlawful Possession of Syringe, Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Paraphernalia.

Both were transported to Marshall County Jail.   Jimenez Jr was held on a $1,500 cash bond as was Alec Ashby.
