Wednesday morning about 7:40 Plymouth Police were dispatched to the corner of Baker Street and Fairbanks Avenue for the report of an accident involving a bicyclist and a car.
This 4-way stop also has an crossing guard and Officer Finn’s report states that the crossing guard has stopped traffic to let a couple pedestrians cross the street. The driver of the vehicle, Wendy Lauderback was stopped at the intersection and told police she mistakenly thought the crossing guard turned her stop sign to allow traffic to proceed, that’s when her car struck the 13 year old child on the bike.
The bicyclist was transported by Plymouth EMS to Saint Joseph Health System in Plymouth with minor abrasions to her legs.
