DCI Drum Corps Competition at PHS Rockpile Tonight

Untitled 2Plymouth High School and the Plymouth Band Boosters are excited to announce a national marching event will be held at Plymouth High School’s Rockpile stadium tonight, Tuesday, July 31.

Drum Corps International announced Plymouth High School as the host site for the new DCI Tour called, “Hoosier Heartland.”
Drum Corps International has been the leader in producing events for the world’s most elite and exclusive marching ensembles for student musicians and performers.

PHS Band Director Bryan Ames said tonight’s event will be held in the Rockpile stadium on the new turf surface.  Seven drum and bugle corps teams who will be competing for the national championship the following week.

“This is an amazing opportunity for our school and our band program to host so many well-known drum corps from around the country as they continue to compete for the world championships,” said Ames. “It is also amazing that we will be hosting Jubal Drum Corps traveling all the way from The Netherlands to compete at this event.”

Tickets are available online or at the ticket booth Tuesday evening.
