Heminger House Fundraising Gala Success

Heminger House Masquarade BallOn Saturday, July 28th the Heminger House hosted the 1st annual “Unmasking Domestic Violence Masquerade Gala.”   They are pleased to announce that it was a huge success with approximately 65 guests, close to $1,600 was raised for the shelter.

Heminger House Masquarade Ball_1The evening included three survivors of domestic violence sharing their own personal stories.  Executive Director Diane Fisher one of the survivors shared her own story and why she is so passionate about what she does.  The group enjoyed the musical talents of Cindy Boener on the harp and Bryce Brown and Lexi Miller preformed “Fight Song” for them.  Caleb Polando provided a photo booth for everyone to enjoy and those photos are available on the Heminger House facebook page.

The Heminger House would like to thank everyone who bought tickets, attended, and supported the event. The Heminger House would also like to thank the staff at Christo’s Banquet Center for helping make this event a success.
