Triton Elementary Check Presentation1st Source Bank recently donated $15,000 to support the purchase of nine iPads for each of the nine classrooms at Triton Elementary School. These iPads will allow students in kindergarten through second grade the opportunity to be competent, digital, citizens who possess 21st Century technological skills. Students use apps to engage in learning, and iPads allow integrated technology into the classroom instruction, while providing tech-savvy learning stations within each classroom. Other learning stations in the classroom incorporate different modes and styles of learning so that students learn in more ways than one, ensuring that all students learn in each classroom every day.

“The children will greatly benefit from this opportunity in our daily centers to reinforce skills and continue to the next level of technological learning that may have been initiated at home. We are pleased to be able to offer the children who do not have this technology at home, the opportunity to have access in their classrooms to discover and initiate their interests and expand learning in ‘tech savvy’ ways,” stated Triton Elementary Kindergarten Teachers: Ms. Finley, Ms. Potter and Ms. Melling.

“1st Source Bank recognizes the positive impact technology can have students at Triton Elementary.  We are pleased to be able to provide resources to purchase iPads and enhance learning,” added Connie Lemler, Regional Vice President, 1st Source Bank.
