Flood RecoveryThe Flood Recovery Center is located at 121 West Garro Street in Plymouth, across from the post office. The Recovery Center is open and staffed from 8 a.m. – 6 p.m., Monday through Saturday until further notice. Clean-up kits, hygiene kits, blankets, and flood cleanup information pamphlets are available for pickup.

Anyone who has experienced damage from the floodwaters is encouraged to report all flood damage and request clean-up assistance by calling the United Way’s 2-1-1 service or stop into the Flood Resource Center at 121 West Garro Street in Plymouth.

Southern Baptist Disaster Relief is providing no-cost cleanup and/or mold remediation services to flood-affected residences that report damage.  The following organizations are active in the flood recovery and may be contacting flood survivors via phone or in-person:  Indiana Department of Homeland Security, Marshall County Emergency Management Agency, Marshall County Flood, Response Management Team, Southern Baptist Disaster Relief, Heavy Equipment Response Coalition, American Red Cross and the Salvation Army.

There will be a community Flood Information Meeting on Thursday, March 15th, at 6:00 pm in the Marshall County Commissioners’ Meeting Room on the 2nd floor of the county building at 112 West Jefferson Street in Plymouth.

The second Community Cleanup Day will be this Saturday, March 10th from 10am till 2pm.   Volunteers will meet in the multi purpose room at Plymouth High School   It’s important for all volunteers to sign in and sign out to allow the Flood Response Team to keep track of volunteer hours .  Anyone under 18 yrs will require a parent or guardian to sign a waiver.     Volunteers should bring gloves, rakes, trash pickers and dress for the weather, with close toed shoes or boots, and gloves.   Pulled pork lunch will be served in the multi purpose room at PHS at noon.

The Flood Response Team is asking all volunteers to sign up on mail chimp, the link can be found on the Marshall County Flood 2018 Facebook page.  After Wednesday the 14th all email communication to volunteers will be done by using mail chimp. This allows us to funnel specific  volunteer needs to specific volunteer skills. Previous volunteers have been emailed the link to sign up.
Flood affected property owners can also sign up to the mail chimp link on the Marshall County Flood 2018 Facebook page, for another way to receive information updates.
