Members of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary visited veterans who are living at Miller’s Assisted Living Facility in Plymouth. Auxiliary President Stephanie Boomershine introduced herself to each veteran and told about the auxiliary and thanked the veteran for their service to our country and for keeping American safe. She then presented each veteran with a Christmas gift bag containing lotion, a lap blanket, cookies and a few other items the vets will find useful. Helping pass out the gifts was sister auxiliary members Gwen Crum and Sherry Cantrell and Stephanie’s husband, Brett Boomershine.
Along with the gifts the auxiliary members passed out quite a few hugs and brought many smiles to the Veterans faces! The Auxiliary also took first place in Miller’s Festival of Trees during the month of December so the group took time to have their picture taken with their prize winning tree.
