CMA_Carriage ShowCulver Academies will be hosting a special show by The Carriage and Sleigh Association of Northwestern Indiana at 1 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 8. The show will take place in the Vaughn Equestrian Center and is open to the public.

The Carriage and Sleigh Association is a horse and carriage driving club consisting of approximately 80 members. Established in 1983, the organization drives all breeds and sizes of horses from the draft to the miniature horse size. The group visited Culver earlier this year for a presentation by The Black Horse Troop and offered to perform for the students and the public.

Following The Carriage and Sleigh Association’s show, people can watch the polo match between Culver Girls Academy and the Hillside Club of Wisconsin. The match will be start at 4 p.m. after the show and is free and open to the public.

The carriage club will also be returning in the spring for a Driving Horse Clinic so students can learn how to harness a carriage horse and get a chance to drive the horses.
