During the holiday season, food pantries become a point of focus for many charitable efforts. It is also the busiest time of year for these nonprofits; once the holiday season is over, they often see their supplies depleted.
To help Bread of Life Community Food Pantry replenish their shelves after the holidays, Centier Bank was proud to donate $1,000 to help purchase food and needed supplies in to kick off 2018.
“It is an honor to be able to give the Bread of Life Community Food Pantry the gift of a donation,” explained Centier Bank’s Plymouth Branch Manager and Marshall County Community Coordinator, Cassandra Fautz. “They are a great organization and one of the biggest food pantries in our area. Their team does great work.”
The donation wasn’t the first time the Plymouth branch supported the Bread of Life Community Food Pantry. Earlier this year, the branch’s associates and clients held a food drive to help fill the shelves.
“Coming into the new year, this donation will make a big difference for us!” said Terri Brandt, Director of the Bread of Life Community Food Pantry. “A lot of people get very enthusiastic about giving during the holiday season, but this donation will allow us to replenish our supply with over 5,500 pounds of food.”
The Bread of Life Community Food Pantry strives to provide nutritious food to supplement the needs of the poor. This service is offered in a spirit that maintains the dignity, self-respect, and privacy of those served.
