City HallThe City of Plymouth will conduct their regular meetings Tuesday evening due to the Veterans Day holiday on Monday.  The meetings will be held in the new council chambers on the second floor of City Hall.

The Board of Public Works and Safety meeting begins at 6 p.m. and included reports by department heads, a sidewalk request by Mark Livinghouse at 415 Lake Avenue and two requests to work in the right-of way by Comcast and one request for the Metronet.

Under request the Board of Works will heard from Tonda Ellis of Kay’s Beauty Shop for a parking space, a request to close a portion of Garro Street by Discover Plymouth, and a request by Morry Riddle of the Marshall County Running Club to close streets.

The Board of Public Works will also have a Complete Streets presentation by Allie Shook of the Plymouth Park Department.

The Common Council meeting will begin about 6:30.  The City council will hear first reading of an ordinance to annex 598 Hoham Drive and 44 acres on the north side of Plymouth Goshen Trail just across from Centennial Park.

The Council will also hear on first reading an ordinance setting salaries for elected officials for 2019.  The council is proposing a 3% raise for the Mayor and Clerk/Treasurer and northing for themselves.

The City Council will also consider a resolution taking the first step in the tax abatement process for American Container.

Both meetings are open to the public although comments and questions are limited to agenda items only.
