County News # 1Last week during the Marshall County Commissioner’s meeting, Highway Superintendent Jason Peters updated them on the FEMA reimbursement.

The county was approved for a payment of $13,177.15 for debris removal from the February flooding event.  Peters said he signed the paperwork earlier in November and the county should receive their reimbursement in the next few weeks.

Peters told the commissioner he is preparing to submit a request for reimbursement of the culvert repairs although there was an issue.

Commissioner Overmyer told WTCA during the What’s Your Opinion Show that FEMA was requires the county to present permits for working on the drains from IDEM.  He said on Wednesday that the permits have been obtained so the paperwork can be submitted.
