ISP_logo_1On Friday March 2, the Indiana State Police Bremen Post All Crimes Policing Team conducted a criminal interdiction patrol on US 30 and US 31.  Indiana State Police K9 handlers from the Lowell Post and Peru Post, as well as deputies with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department, and officers with the Warsaw Police Department were also involved in the multi-agency cooperative detail.  The focus of this detail was to target criminal activity on US 30 and US 31 in Marshall, Kosciusko, and St. Joseph Counties.

This patrol netted the following results:

  • 49 vehicles stopped:  (21) tickets & (25) warnings
  • 1 commercial motor vehicle inspection
  • 2 vehicles impounded
  • 4 individuals arrested on 9 different criminal charges
  • 1 arrested for Operating While Intoxicated on a Controlled Substance

Marijuana and heroin were found during the search of two vehicles.  Officers in this detail also assisted a Peru Trooper in a vehicle pursuit that began in Fulton County on US 31 and ended in in Marshall County on US 31.

The Indiana State Police remains focused on fighting the drug fight in our communities and on our roadways.  Many drug investigations begin with a tip from concerned citizens.
