A Culver man was injured in a motorcycle deer accident Wednesday morning
Michael Bennett told county police he was traveling north on State Road 17 about 4:30 in the morning when a deer ran into the roadway near the intersection near 15B Road.
Bennett said he was unable to avoid striking the deer causing him to wreck and lay his 2009 Honda motorcycle on its side, sliding for several feet.
Bennett suffered possible broken bones and internal injuries from the accident. Family members say he has numerous broken bones and a skull fracture.
Culver Fire and EMS responded to the scene. Michael Bennett was airlifted to Memorial Hospital in South Bend.
