Holiday Recycling TipsAmericans generate 20% more waste between Thanksgiving and New Year’s Day.  Remarkably, about 80% of what is thrown away during the holidays could actually be recycled or re-purposed.  Here are a couple tips to help you become a better recycler during the holiday season.

You can always recycle paper including plain wrapping paper and flattened cardboard.  Other everyday items that are recyclable include metal cans, plastic jugs and bottles along with glass jars.

The packing in those cardboard boxes that your presents came in, such as bubble wrap, packing peanuts and padded envelopes are not recyclable.  Also the ribbon and bows and the foil or glittery wrapping paper is not recyclable.
