Giving Tuesday is a global day of giving fueled by the power of social media and collaboration.
Celebrated on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving in the United States and the widely recognized shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday, Giving Tuesday kicks off the charitable season, when many focus on their holiday and end-of-year giving.
This year Giving Tuesday is November 27th and The Heminger House, a domestic violence shelter for women and men is hoping the public will remember them with donations during this national day of giving. Heminger House is open 24 hours a day 365 days a year in Plymouth and the offer assistance to abused victims and their children and help them to get out of the dangerous situations that they live in.
In 2018, the Heminger House has been able to help close to 40 victims of violence better their lives.
