Stellar County logoMonths, even years, of project planning and preparation have gone into the presentation that representatives from six cities and towns in Marshall County are giving to state leaders right now in downtown Indianapolis. At stake is the designation as a Stellar Region. Regions that earn the designation are eligible to apply for millions of dollars in supplemental funding that will help spur economic and quality of place projects for their communities.

The assembled leaders from Argos, Bourbon, Bremen, Culver, Lapaz and Plymouth represent vast economic and demographic groups, and include government, not-for-profit, academic, healthcare and young professionals from across Marshall County.  Many of them have traveled to Indianapolis to show their support for the Marshall County plans as members of the audience. About 12 of them are participating in the presentation itself.

As part of the presentation, the Marshall County Crossroads Stellar committee produced a short, five-minute film describing how they’ve been working together across city and town boundaries, for nearly a decade. The film was just shown to Indiana state leaders a few minutes ago.
