LJH iParent Meetings & Open School Day Wednesday Aug. 1

July 31, 2018
By

On Wednesday, August 1, Lincoln Jr. High School will hold iParent meetings at three different times. The first iParent Meeting will kick off at 10 a.m.-noon., an afternoon session will run from 2-4 p.m., and an evening session will be held from 6-8 p.m. The meetings are held to issue students their computers before the start of school next Wednesday and to communicate the responsible use of student computers and technology for the upcoming school year. It is important for parents/guardians to attend one of the three sessions so that Plymouth schools and parents can partner to support the expectations for computer use at school and at home. LJHS students will be able to take home their school-issued computer after their parent/guardian attends an iParent meeting on Wednesday. Student computers are essential learning tools for all students but also can be a distraction if not used responsibly. The Lincoln Jr. High School administration team welcomes all LJHS parents to attend one iParent meeting to learn what the expectations are of all students using technology.

Also on Wednesday, Lincoln will hold an annual event called Open School Day for students to tour the school, find/practice their locker combination, and students can locate their classrooms. Teachers will not be at the school on this day. Visiting LJHS before the start of classes can help new students familiarize themselves with the school layout and lockers. Open School Day times are from 9 a.m.-noon, and 1-3 p.m. Parents are not required to attend the open school sessions.
