MCCF logos 9-15The Marshall County Community Foundation is excited to announce the creation of the Jeanette Rarick Memorial Scholarship Fund. Max Rarick, Jeanette’s husband, created the new fund to honor his wife’s teaching legacy.

Jeanette Rarick worked with Bremen students for nearly 30 years, primarily as a math tutor. She had a deep love for who she called “her kids” and a willingness to help students succeed. Her husband strongly believes that opening this scholarship fund is what his wife would want him to do to continue her life’s work for generations to come.

“I think this fund is something that Jeanette would be excited about,” said Max Rarick. He continued, “Her passion was her students. Knowing that a scholarship will hold her name, and help Bremen students succeed to the best of their abilities is an amazing gift that I am proud to present to the community and kids she loved so dearly.”

A graduate of Bremen High School may apply for the Jeanette Rarick Memorial Scholarship. The applicant must intend to study at either a two-year vocational or technical school or a four-year college or university.

Interested students may learn more about the scholarship by picking up an application in the Bremen High School guidance office, by visiting the Marshall County Community Foundation website, calling 574-935-5159 or emailing info@marshallcountycf.org. The application deadline is Friday, April 13.
