The cost of school supplies can cause stress in households across the Hoosier state at back-to-school time. For that reason, MDwise is donating more than 10,000 drawstring backpacks full of school supplies to students at back-to-school events statewide.
Tools for Schools is part of Ms. Bluebelle’s Club for Kids, a MDwise program that promotes the well-being of Hoosier children through activities and outreach. Through Tools for Schools, MDwise outreach consultants across Indiana work with local organizations to identify students’ needs, and then MDwise provides and coordinates delivery of needed supplies.
Local schools receiving the MDwise backpacks full of school supplies include the Argos Community Elementary School, Jefferson School in Plymouth and Walkerton Elementary School.
Children spend more than 1,200 hours each year in school, so MDwise strives to make classroom experiences as meaningful and constructive as possible by ensuring students have the tools they need to learn.
