BlueberryFestival_with logoThe 52nd annual Marshall County Blueberry Festival will feature some returning favorites this year and a couple of new events.

Quick’s Lanes in Plymouth will host a Blueberry 9 Pin-No Tap tournament on Friday, August 31st at 7 p.m.  While this is the fourth year this tournament has been held, it’s the first time to have the official designation as a Blueberry Festival event.

Marshall County USBC and Quick’s Lanes are teaming up to help raise funds for their Youth Scholarship.

Bowlers will bowl 3 games qualifying games with the top 16 bowlers advancing to the bracket round.  Bowlers will bowl one game in each match to determine a winner.  The last bowler standing will be crowned KING of the HILL.  This event is for adults only.

Also new this year is a Bench Press Competition sponsored by Ace Fitness.  The competition will take place on Saturday, September 1st with registration from 9 a.m. till noon with the competition at 1 p.m.

Some of your favorites are returning again this year.  The Paul Bunyan Lumberjack Show will be held at the Pony League Diamond at the front of Centennial Park.  The performance is twice on Friday evening and three times each on Saturday, Sunday and Monday.

The Blueberry Tennis Tournament is back in Centennial Park on the new courts and the K-9 Crew will thrill young and old with their performing canines at the Pony League Diamond.

The Blueberry Bike Show is scheduled for Saturday, September 2nd with registration from 9 a.m. till 10 a.m.  There is a $10 registration fee.  Voting for your favorite motorcycle is from 10 till 3 and cost $1 per vote.  The Bike Show is using the front pavilion near Symphony’s Restaurant.
