On Tuesday, October 23, the Marshall County REMC Operation Round Up board awarded $3,000 to the following organizations.

Brotherhood of Professional Police Officers and Emergency Services received funding to assist with providing needy Marshall County Senior citizens with an $85 gift card to be used locally for groceries or medicine. This program will be done in conjunction with the annual Shop With A Cop program conducted at Christmas.

Community Destination Imagination received funding to assist with installing an informational sign at the Early Bourbon Cemetery. Community Destination Imagination is a group of students who have been working to improve the Cemetery by adding a Monument Stone with the names of the deceased buried there.

Discover Plymouth received funding to assist with the development of the Discover Plymouth website.  Discover Plymouth is a group of community members and business leaders dedicated to creating a vibrant downtown by enhancing and promoting growth and supporting local businesses to strengthen the quality of life for our community.

Potawatomi Park, Inc. received funding to assist with the purchase of a vehicle and trail counter to collect important attendance and traffic data. Potawatomi Park provides the public with a space where the community can enjoy the solitude of nature, commune with wildlife, and gain an understanding of local history.

The Operation Round Up program allows Marshall County REMC members to reach out to worthy causes in their community and work together to help others. Thank you to those members who participate in Operation Round Up and to the Marshall County Community Foundation for making these donations possible. You have helped donate over $100,000 to organizations in the community!
