Police_PursuitA male subject on a motorcycle fled from a Plymouth Police Officer Tuesday afternoon about 5 and was able to evade police in a corn field.

At 5:08 Officer Krynock attempted to stop an orange motorcycle at Bayless and Alexander Streets.

The vehicle fled through city streets and headed east off Pennsylvania Avenue on to Lincoln Highway and was pursued out in the county by Plymouth units and Marshall County units.  A mechanical failure on the motorcycle in the area of 8A Road and Iris Road caused the driver to abandon the bike.  He ran into a corn field and several K9 units assisted in searching for the driver for several hours but they were unable to locate the suspect.

The case remains under investigation.
