ISP_drug bust South Bend 7-11-18_1Six people were arrested in South Bend following a drug investigation that began Wednesday night and ended early Thursday morning.

Trooper Kyle Hudson began a drug investigation after receiving a complaint from a citizen about possible drug activity in the area of the 2000 block of Morris Street in South Bend.

Hudson made a traffic stop on a gold Chrysler in the area of Kemble and Donald last night around 9:30 p.m.  This traffic stop resulted in the arrest of the driver, Ryan Hayes, age 37 of Knox, IN, for preliminary charges of Possession of Methamphetamine, Level 6 Felony, Possession of a Narcotic, Level 6 Felony, Possession of a Schedule IV Drug, Class A-Misdemeanor, and Possession of a Legend Drug, Level 6 Felony.

Two passengers in the Chrysler were also arrested.  Christina Bradford, age 28 of Knox, IN, was arrested on preliminary charges of Possession of a Narcotic, Level 6 Felony, Possession of a Schedule IV Drug, Class A-Misdemeanor, and Possession of a Legend Drug, Level 6 Felony.  David Scarberry, age 39 of Donaldson, IN, was also arrested on preliminary charges of Possession of a Narcotic, Level 6 Felony, Possession of a Schedule IV Drug, Class A-Misdemeanor, and Possession of a Legend Drug, Level 6 Felony.

Hayes, Bradford, and Scarberry were taken to the St. Joseph County Jail.

ISP_drug bust South Bend 7-11-18_2This traffic stop ultimately lead to a search warrant being served at a residence located at 2001 Morris Street in South Bend around 1:00 a.m. this morning, July 12, 2018.  Jeff Scarberry, age 52 of South Bend, was arrested at this residence on preliminary charges of Dealing Methamphetamine, Level 6 Felony, Dealing Heroin, Level 6 Felony, Possession of Methamphetamine, Level 6 Felony, and Possession of Heroin, Level 6 Felony.

Aaron Rowe, age 35 of Lakeville, IN, was also arrested at this residence on preliminary charges of Possession of Heroin, Level 6 Felony, Possession of a Syringe, Level 6 Felony, and Visiting a Common Nuisance, Class A-Misdemeanor.

Also arrested at this residence was Wesley Glenn, age 25 of Gary, IN, on preliminary charges of Possession of Methamphetamine, Level 6 Felony and Visiting a Common Nuisance, Class A-Misdemeanor.

Scarberry, Rowe, and Glenn were also taken to the St. Joseph County Jail.

Trooper Hudson was assisted by Trooper Kyle Glaze and K9 Nala, Trooper Chris Eagles and K9 Axel, Trooper Jon Price, F/Sgt. Brooks Johnson, Lt. Chad Larsh, and the Indiana State Police ERT.
