MugShot_jay rileyOn Tuesday, December 18th, just after 11 p.m. Sergeant Nicholas Laffoon of the Marshall County Police Department was working Interdiction on US 30 west of Gumwood Road.  

He observed a vehicle traveling east at a very high rate of speed, and clocked the vehicle at 114 mph on radar. Sergeant Laffoon eventually caught up to the vehicle on US 30 near SR 19 and initiated a traffic stop.

The offender, 32 year old Jay B. Riley Jr. of Warsaw   offender was taken into custody at the scene and held at the Marshall County Police Jail on a $500 cash bond.
