The tenth annual NCAVC Health Fair was held on Thursday, May 3. This is the fifth year the health fair was held at Menominee Elementary School; previously it was hosted at Washington Discovery Academy which at the time was named Washington Elementary School. North Central Area Vocational Cooperative Health Careers students presented health topics to the Menominee student body, in a fun hands-on kid-friendly way.
Some of the health topics addressed at the various stations during the Health Fair were

- Infection Control
- Dental Hygiene
- Anti-Bullying
- Poison Control
- Obstacle course-Exercise and Wellness
- Healthy Eating
- Hand Washing
- Fire Safety- ”Do you have a meeting place/safety plan if your house is on fire?
The Health Careers program taught at Plymouth High School is part of NCAVC, which consists of ten surrounding school corporations. This year students in the program attend Plymouth, LaVille, Triton and John Glenn high schools.
Students who successfully complete one year of the Health Careers program can earn CPR certification and six dual college credits. Students who take two years of the program can earn 11 dual college credit hours and earn their CNA.
