Plymouth Fire Department Monthly Report for December

Plymouth Fire DepartmentPlymouth Fire Chief, Rod Miller presented members of the Board of Public Works and Safety the December Activity Report Monday evening.

Firefighters with the Plymouth Fire Department responded to one combustible spill or leak, an electrical issue, a sole extradition, a vehicle fire, and one structure fire.  They were also called once for a fire which ended up being steam instead of smoke.

The Emergency Medical side had 153 incidents in December and 7 medical assists.

Emergency responders were dispatched or cancelled en route 12 times and were called once to a location but the patient had already been transported.

The Fire Department staff and volunteers had a total of 72 hours of training including suicide prevention, strategic and tactical operations, skin and wounds, protocol, restraints and falls, mega code and public relations.

In December there were a total of 179 incidents.  Looking at them by district shows 95 in Plymouth, 38 in West Township, 34 in Center Township, 3 in Argos, 1 each in Bourbon and Culver and 4 assists to LaPaz, 2 assists to Walkerton and 1 other paramedic assist.
