Richeson Files on Republican ballot for City Council At-Large Seat

February 7, 2019

Burke Richeson_filing_1Local attorney Burke Richeson threw his hat into the political ring again on Thursday, filing on the Republican ticket for an at-large seat on the Plymouth City Council.

In 2015 Richeson ran for an at-large seat on the Plymouth City Council with 5 other candidates to fill the three open seats.  He was unsuccessful.  In November 2016 Richeson and Bill Walters went head to head in a caucus to fill the vacancy when Mike Delp resigned his city council seat to become a County Commissioner.  Once again Richeson was unsuccessful.

Each time he was defeated Richeson vowed to continue to get involved in the community and he has.  He is on the Mainstreet/Discover Plymouth Board, on the Chamber of Commerce Board, chaired the Complete Streets Initiative and is president of the Plymouth Jr. League Baseball League.

Burke is married to Amanda and they moved to Plymouth in 2007 when he started law school.  The couple have four children ages 11, 7, 3 and 16 months.  He is a graduate of Leadership Marshall County, graduated from the Valparaiso School of Law and also received his MBA at Valpo.

Burke was with Jones, Huff and Jones but in August he took an in house council job with the Collins Brothers, Construction Management Design (CMD), assisting with their real-estate development projects and corporate needs.
