February 3, 2019

Marshall_County MuseumThe Marshall County Historical Society, Museum and Crossroads Center is now scheduling video interviews with current and former coaches, athletic directors and sports enthusiasts to preserve great stories about Marshall County boys and girls high school sports over the years for their new County of Champions Sports Room at the Museum.  Nick Treber from the Bourbon Library is interviewing local sports figures from the area on Mondays and Thursdays at 10:00 in the County of Champions Sports Room at the Museum.

There are several dates available in February for the 1-hour interviews.   If you are interested in telling your story please contact Mindy Langdon at the Marshall County Museum as-soon-as-possible to secure an interview time.
The video footage will not only become part of a permanent exhibit at the Museum but will be edited into a highlight reel to be shown at the 2019 Nostalgic Narratives Dinner at Christo’s Banquet Center on Friday, May 10 at 6 PM.    The Museum is very excited to announce the keynote speaker for this year’s annual dinner at Christo’s…..Steve Yoder, former Plymouth High School head basketball coach and head basketball coach at Ball State University and the University of Wisconsin.

The museum urges coaches and athletic directors in Marshall County to participate in this historic project that will entertain and educate, as well as preserve our local sports history. Langdon said, “We need participation from ALL high schools in Marshall County. This opportunity doesn’t come along often. If folks don’t step up, their school’s sports history will not be as well represented.”
