County Police Arrest South Bend Man on Multiple Charges Including Auto Theft

MugShot_Lighthall,TerryA South Bend man was arrest on Sunday, August 18th for OWI, Cocaine, Possession of a Firearm and Auto Theft by County Police.

Just before 1 A.M. Officer Richard Ayala with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department was on routine patrol when a vehicle was observed following too closely to his patrol unit. Officer Ayala then initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle.

The driver, 61 year old Terry J. Lighthall of South Bend was offered the opportunity to submit to standardize field sobriety testing.  He was then transported to the hospital for a chemical test where a search warrant was applied for.  

Mr. Lighthall was transported to the Marshall County Jail and booked in for OWI .08% or higher with a Prior, OWI on a Controlled Substance, Possession of Cocaine, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm and Auto Theft.

Terry Lighthall was given a bond of $1,500 and a court date of September 3rd
