County Highway Department and Road Projects

County News # 1Marshall County Highway Superintendent Jason Peters wants to inform citizens of work plans for the department this week and in the coming week.

On Monday the Highway Department will make cold patch at the highway garage, 600 tons through the pug mill at the King Road plant.   Peters said crushing of asphalt for additional paving material will also start on Monday and be done through the end of the week.

Area leaders will work in their respective townships, working on patch repairs, gravels and general maintenance.
Tuesday they plan to chip and seal three miles in Union Township and on Wednesday three more miles of chip and seal on 11th Road in Green Township from US 31 to South Michigan.

Thursday the Community Crossing paving projects will begin with the moving in of the paving equipment and then start paving 13th Road from State Road 17 to Peach Road and on Friday paving will be on 13th Road.

Dogwood Road from US 6 to the county line will be paved on August 23rd and 24thn and also on the 24th paving will start on North Michigan Road from the Plymouth city limits north to the round-a-bout. On Monday, August 26 paving will start on 9B Road from Union Road to the county line.
