Plymouth splits match
PLYMOUTH — The Plymouth Lady Pilgrim golf team hosted Culver Academy and South Bend Adams at Pretty Lake Golf Club. The Pilgrim girls fell to Culver Academy 165-187 but defeated visiting South Bend Adams by a stroke 187-188.
The #15 ranked visitors from Culver cruised to victory behind the fine play of Medalist Masako Hatano’s 38. Hatano’s round featured a holed out fairway shot for eagle on the par 4 13th and a fine birdie on her final hole the par 4 17th.
Senior Olivia Waymouth shot a career best 42 on the back nine at Pretty Lake. She carded a birdie on her first hole of the night (#18) and only needed 16 putts on her career night.
Olivia Horvath tied her career best with a 46 while Emma Rozycki also had a career best of 48. Annastasia Hutchings and Elaina McDonald finished the night with a 51 and 60 respectively.
The split moved Plymouth’s record to 8-7 on the year. They host Triton tonight at Pretty Lake in their final regular season match of the year.
The Pilgrim JV team fell in both of their matches Monday. They lost to CGA 224-238 and to Adams 219-238. Claire McDonald lead the JV scoring with a 52.
