November 26, 2019

High Wind Warning National Weather ServiceThe National Weather Service has upgraded the High Wind Watch to a High Wind Warning for Marshall County from 4:00 am Wednesday morning until 9:00 pm Wednesday evening.

Sustained winds between 30 and 40 mph with gusts expected to be as high as 60 mph.

Damaging winds will cause damage to trees and power lines.  Power outages are expected.  Travel will also be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles on north/south oriented roads.

Residents are encouraged by Marshall County Emergency Management Director, Clyde Avery to secure loose objects outdoors to prevent damage or injury.  Be ready for power outages by checking your flashlight and having your cell phone charged.  Be mindful while driving of trees or branches that may fall across roads.  Be aware of downed power lines and NEVER TOUCH DOWNED LINES.
