A Tyner woman was killed in a single vehicle crash Friday evening on Plymouth LaPorte Trail.
Marshall County Coroner John Grolich identified the victim as 40 year old Shelby Erin Gaines. She was the only person in the vehicle and it appears she may have been texting while driving and was probably not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, as she was ejected from the vehicle.
The crash remains under investigation by the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department.
Assisting at the scene were Plymouth Fire Department, and Lyons Towing Service.
