City Hall 10-10-19Officer David Finn with the Plymouth Police Department investigated a theft from the City Hall last Friday. Following his investigation, 47 year old Bradley W. Watkins of Argos was arrested for Theft.

Plymouth Police were dispatched to the Mayor’s Office about 1:15 Friday afternoon for a reported theft that had occurred.

A city employee was walking into the office and confronted Watkins who was leaving the office.  They asked him what he needed and he said assistance with rent.  The employee told him he would need to contact the trustee for help.  As the employee was doing some work they realized a $2 bill and a bank envelope with several hundred dollars was missing and called police.

Police located Bradley Watkins and he admitted to taking the $2 bill and a billfold but said he didn’t take a bank envelope.  He showed police where he dumped the billfold and while in the alley the bank envelope was located.

Watkins was transported to the Marshall County Jail and charged with theft.  He is being held on a $4,500 cash bond.
