PHS_August 2019 Growth Awards
Plymouth High School senior Devin Stine and sophomore Jared Allen have been selected for showing the most growth among their peers during the month of August. Both students were nominated by PHS staff members and the award winners were selected by a team of PHS administrators.
Devin was nominated by PHS teacher Debra Nifong for assignment completion, classroom behavior and his timely arrival to class. Nifong said, “In the past few weeks Devin has increased his focus in class. He is gaining confidence and is participating more in class with ideas on how to demonstrate knowledge, how to do assignments, he is much more social, and has excellent manners.” Jared was nominated by PHS teacher Michael Wraight for assignment completion and timely arrival to class. Wraight said, “Recently Jared has consistently finished his work in class, is quick to ask questions and is always ready to answer questions. He is a pleasure to have in class and has outperformed nearly everyone in the class.” 1st Source Bank generously donates $10 for each recipient. Plymouth High School uses the funds to purchase a restaurant gift card for each recipient at a restaurant of his/her choice. Plymouth High School congratulates both Devin and Jared for being Growth Award recipients.
